Hi @Octavio Palomino

Once you select to start copy, a background block copy of the data from the source system to the PowerStore system starts.

Here is the example of the state while copy in progress. Any new writes are made to PowerStore and the path between client/server to PowerStore become active (read/write).

The important step to confirm is a rescan of the host to discover the destination volume and mount the destination volume on the host, making the volume a read/write state. At this point, the host I/O access should be active between server to PowerStore.

Please refer to the agentless import guide here

If you still experience the same issue, I would suggest you to contact Dell technical support for assistant.

Hello,

Please check to confirm destination volume on PowerStore already map to the host.  Please ensure that application had been brought online before start copy

This is the agentless import process once you select to begin import.

Select BEGIN IMPORT to start the import session.
A volume equal to the size of the source LUN is provisioned on PowerStore (in a write protected state).
The I/O data path between the source array and PowerStore becomes active. Import state is "Ready to Enable Destination".
Once the host application that uses the source LUN is taken offline, the user can Enable Destination Volume. This operation changes the destination volume to a write-enabled state.

The import session state changes to Ready to Enable Destination Volume. The host application that uses the source LUN must be manually taken offline.
You can then check the box of the import session, and select Enable Destination Volume from the IMPORT ACTIONS menu. This operation changes the destination volume to a write-enabled state.
The Import State changes to Ready To Start Copy. The data migration starts when the user select Start Copy from the IMPORT ACTIONS menu. (Please ensure that application had been brought online before start copy)

NOTE It is recommended to remove the host mapping of the source volumes during the enable destination volume process. If the host mapping of the source volumes is not selected for removal by the orchestrator, the mapping should be removed manually.

Cutover import – Cutover can be performed only when the import processing state is Ready For Cutover. In other words, cutover is a final confirmation. You can select to cut over automatically without user intervention.

Hi Ooi Hoo Hong

But the copy is a snapshot or a mirror? When I start the copy, it marks a point-in-time and does not copy the IOPS in what happens afterwards.
I have to lower the server so that the IOPS does not flow anymore.
