Dell Printer Easy Install "Printer Installation Failed" H625CDW
I've tried the installation about 10 times. Tried turning off virus protections and other background programs. Cleaned up installation directories, uninstalled the app, rebooted and turned computer off and on, cleaned up device manager and print management. Nothing fixes it. I am running Win 10 2004. The install used to work on this computer. I had to reinstall the software yesterday because one of 2 H625CDW printers went off line. But it won't install. I suspect a problem with Win 10 2004. Printers are and have always been connected by wired Ethernet network.

I even used Revo to rename some left over Dell Printer Hub stuff in the registry. Still would not install. The solution is to extract the exe and look for two folders. Run the setup in the DPH folder and that installs the Printer Hub. Run the setup in the H625cdw directory and that installs the printer modules. When I ran the Printer Hub the scanner was magically there.... not sure why but I am not complaining. Next I went to Windows Settings and added the printer(s) using the IP addresses. They now show up in the Printer Hub. The scanner works. I haven't tried printing yet but I expect it to work.
I got the idea to run the different setup.exe programs from another posting about a different Dell printer not installing.

Just to add some things I've tried... I tried installing it as administrator. I also uncompressed the downloadable file before running the install. I've turned off anti virus programs. It always gets stuck at 50% for several minutes and eventually says the Printer Installation Failed. I also tried Win 7 compatibility mode on the install. And I also I tried a copy I downloaded a few months ago in case the posted version is corrupted. This thing does not work.
