Hi jessycatherine:

Has your service warranty expired yet, and if not have you submitted a support request to Dell customer support?  They might know a simple way to do this.

There is a way to reset Dell computers to factory condition [see Section 6: Reinstall Windows 10 to the Dell factory image using the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) of the Dell support article How to Reinstall Windows 10 on Your Dell Computer] that should reinstall the Dell apps that were installed at the factory.  However, I would not recommend a factory reset if your computer is booting up correctly since it will roll back your Windows OS and hardware drivers to the versions installed at the factory, remove all your third-party (non-Microsoft) software, reinstall the trial software installed at the factory (e.g., like the 1-year trial version of McAfee LiveSafe that ships with some Dell models) and wipe all your user accounts and personal data. In your case it would be much easier just to reinstall the individual Dell apps missing from your computer.

Do you recall what Dell apps were installed on your Inspiron 7405 2-in-1 before you reinstalled your Win 10 OS and removed your third-party apps? The only three Dell apps I currently have on my computer at Settings | Apps | Apps and Features are Dell Update for Windows Universal v4.x (to check for available driver and Dell software updates), My Dell v2.x (which now includes the Dell Power Manager) and Dell CinemaColor (which I've never used but kept since it might come in handy some day). ***

*** Just FYI, I removed all the SupportAssist-related apps [SupportAssist v3.14.x, Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery v5.5.x (also known as Dell SupportAssist Remediation / System Repair) and Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell Update v5.5.x] from my Inspiron 5584 a few months ago because I found they were too buggy and consumed too many system resources .  See my 22-Mar-2023 post in my thread Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery Plugin for Dell Update Rolled Back to v5.5.4.16189 for further details.

To replace Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery (which failed to recover my system when my Inspiron 5584 refused to boot-up a few years ago and forced me to perform a reset to factory condition) I installed Macrium Reflect Free imaging software that I use to create the occasional full disk and emergency recovery media (a bootable USB stick) just in case I ever have to perform an emergency recovery. As an extra precaution I've also enabled Windows System Restore (disabled by default on Win 10 and Win 11) as instructed in the Windows Central article How to Use System Restore on Windows 10.

Instead of running my hardware diagnostics from SupportAssist I now use Dell's F12 ePSA (enhanced Pre-boot System Assessment) hardware diagnostics from my BIOS (see the instruction video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cfFECs5Qa0) or run my Windows 10 built-in hardware diagnostics at Settings | Update & Security | Troubleshoot | Additional Troubleshooters.

Hi jessycatherine:

Be sure to post back and let us know what Dell apps you'd like to reinstall if you are unable to find the download page.

If you go to the Drivers & Downloads tab of your Inspiron 7405 2-in-1 support page at https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-ca/product-support/product/inspiron-14-7405-2-in-1-laptop/drivers, click the This Device tab as shown below, and enter your unique Dell service tag then that web page should present a filtered list of hardware drivers and software that is compatible with your system.  Just check and make sure that web page automatically detects your Windows OS correctly .

There are installers posted on your support page for a few compatible software programs like Dell Update for Windows Universal v5.x, but most other installers for software like Dell SupportAssist v3.x are not listed on that support page and download pages can sometimes be a bit difficult to find.
