SCG Appliance Disconnected

Hey all,

My SCG appliance (5.14.00.12) is suddenly reporting Gateway status 'OFF' and Heartbeat connection status 'Disconnected'. Checking for updates also fails.

Restarting does not resolve the issue. Has been working fine for a while, logging tickets etc.

Checked with my firewall team who report the rules (previously requested) are still in place for the device but they are seeing no response from DELL on the outbounds on port 8443 - 'aged-out', seems to be activity on 443.

Clicking the blue "Test connection" button under Connectivity I get a disconnected Heartbeat and a large red bar with "Unable to connect to Dell EMC Server because a connection could not be established within the predefined time limit."

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.

Hello Robin_HUH,

 

I see you have rebooted the appliance. I have seen a case where it took a couple of reboot.

 

Try a Reboot SCG. When the SCG UI is available for login, login and verify the “Gateway status” is now set to “On” (top right corner of interface).  If the “Gateway status” is still showing as “Off,” attempt one more SCG reboot.

 

If at that time, the SCG continues to show the “Gateway status” as “Off,” you may consider contacting Support directly and an engineer can do a remote session with you.
