UPGrade Error

Update failed. Something went wrong while upgrading this gateway to latest version 5.22.00.18. Try again later. I'm in the version 5.20.00.10. 

anyone facing this issue before ?

Are you trying to install the update or download the update? Sometimes it takes multiple tries to download the update when a new one has just been released.

Hello,

 

Could you take a look at the log and see if there is any additional information related to the failed update you can supply us?

 

Under Audit > Logs There should be a download option.

Same issue. It took multiple, multiple attempts to download the update. Then it fails the install.  Both of ours have file transfers that seem to be stuck. Looking under audit-file transfers one has 6 transfers in progress and the other has two. Both of them, the transfers have been going for over 25 minutes.. Not sure what is going on right now. Typically this would take seconds on each.

Edit - After trying to install a couple more times, it went back to the need to download. That install worked as expected, even with the file transfers seemingly 'hung' in progress. Looking back at the transfer history, it looks like those ended up marked failed but were subsequently picked up and transferred. Just seems like some sort of glitch with transfers 2/29-3/1maybe? Anyhow, ours is up and running on the new version. Hope the OP is also able to get theirs going.

I will need to do some research on this.

 

Do either of you have the ability to contact Support directly and an engineer can do a remote session to get a look with you?

@DELL-Charles R​ Unfortunately, since mine finally went through, I wouldn't be able to duplicate the issue for an engineer. However if it turns out that additional logs from around the time of the events might prove helpful, have someone contact me.

Update downloads but fails almost instantly on installation.  No pending file transfers either.  Going to open a ticket here.

@nsd.netadmin​ if you are using Secure Connect Gateway Virtual Edition for VMware Systems, access the CLI and change to this directory:

cd /var/lib/docker/volumes/esrslog/_data/var/log

Then look for files with this command:

ls -ltr upgrade-SCG*

Hopefully they provide some insight to your problem. Good luck!

@c_watkins​  Thanks for the info on the download. I have expierenced this several times through the downloads. I haven't upgraded to this new 5.22.00.18 but will soon. Are you guys using the Policy Manager?? Just curious we have not installed the OVA's for it yet. Any issues with configs ??

@as15​ I did not have an issue installing the most recent release. I did have to request the download more than once, but that is not unusual.
