Upgrade from 3.10 to 3.14
Hi
I am trying t upgrade an ESRS gateway from 3.10 to 3.14. Let me know if the steps are correct
- Log in to the ESRS GUI console version 3.10
- Click on the update tab
- Click on the download button to download 3.14 version
After this does the installation happens automatically, Is there any screenshots available as to what happens next ? I am writing a upgrade document, hence would like to have the screenshot of that

Hello @ramprasad_d,
To upgrade ESRS VE you have to click on “Download” and then wait for the download to finish.
Sometimes depending on the speed of your connection you may get a message that says “The download is taking longer than expected. We will continue the download process in the backend until it is complete.”
You can refresh the page or click through tabs to check if the download is complete. When it is, the new version will be available for installation.
After that you should click “Apply”, and then “Yes, Apply Update”
Wait while the upgrade happens and after it’s done you can close and re-open the web interface to check if the upgrade was successful.

So can I download the version and have it ready this way, all I need to do is to just run the install during the change window?

That's correct. Although I don't think that there's any downtime for the ESRS VE host/services while upgrading. The upgrade process could be ran at anytime.

Hi Caribe,
I was able to download the installer and in the process of upgrading it. The screen shows "Update is in progress" . any idea as to how long the installation will happen. If I log in to the esrs.emc.com and check the version id for the gateway, I do see it's showing the latest version 3.14. Also If I log in to another GUI separately on the ESRS server I now see the current version to be 3.14. But the "Update is in Progress" button still Progress" button is still going on
Would have nice if they could have provided a "upgrade progress tab" to show how far we have upgraded.
