Using Networker (tape based backup) and Avamar (disk based backup) on same server

Is it recommended to have 2 different backup applications running on the same server. Presently we are using IDPA (Avamar with Data Domian) for disk based backup and are running a combination of full and incremental backups. Workloads includes SAP HANA DB, SQL DB's and some VM's and a Netap NAS Appliance.

We are required to have a backup set which can be stored offshore, which is leading us towards Networker and tape based backups. Tape out from Data Domain is not an issue as we had tried this and is not working well.

Will it be a problem if we use 2 different backup utilities on the same server to run the job without overlapping.

Also please can someone let me know how the Full and incremental backup's are managed by the utility.
