Random double clicks of the MS3320W mouse on single clicks

I register that I am not in control of what is happening on the desktop, because the mouse is randomly performing double clicks. I tested this in the mouse settings in the Windows 11 control panel.

Could this problem be a hardware issue or could it be related to latest Dell Peripheral manager 1.6.6? My Firmware version is 0.3.4.d.

A regular wired old mouse works fine on my laptop.
