Vostro 3910 Internal DVD

The Vostro 3910 has a slot for an internal DVD drive. When I purchased the desktop I also purchased an internal DVD drive hoping it would be compatible. The power cable connection is OK but unfortunately the data cable has a different configuration and cannot be connected.

Does anyone know the part or model number for a compatible internal DVD drive for the Vostro 3910?

Thanks

Final update...

The straight SATA data cable arrived and upon installing it by connecting one end to the motherboard SATA-1 data connector and the other end to the data slot on DVD drive solved the issue. Now the DVD drive is functioning as expected.

Here is an update....

Doing a bit more research on SATA connectors, it turns out that power and data can come from two separate cables. In the Vostro 3910, the STAT cables combine both power and data together in one cable whereas the internal DVD drive I bought requires two cables (one for power and one for data). Looking at the motherboard there is a SATA-1 data connector so I went and purchased a $4 straight SATA data cable which I believe will solve my problem.

More to follow when the SATA cable arrives and I install it ...
