wd22tb thunderbolt does not connect

My WD19TB docking station used to work normally with my laptop. I would be able to connect it to a new screen and to any external devices. The thunderbolt cable all of a sudden stopped connecting to my laptop. The docking station can turn on and function but the thunderbolt cable does not recognize any laptop I try to use with it. How can I fix the thunderbolt cable to be able to work with usb-c laptops again without replacing the entire station
