Use foil instead of button batteries for active pen
Roll up an aluminum foil that fits into the button cell compartment of the Active Pen and then use the pen with just one AAAA battery.
I just tried it and it works.

Sorry. The foil is not needed. Actually the pen operates on AAAA and doesn't need button batteries loaded at all. The button batteries are for Bluetooth functions.
