after installation of VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0.update02-3620759.x86_64-Dell_Customized-A01 ssh service fails
Hi,
yesterday i upgraded a few of my ESXi hosts to VMware-VMvisor-Installer-6.0.0.update02-3620759.x86_64-Dell_Customized-A01.iso
But after the reboot everything works fine except the SSH daemon.
I can't connect via SSH to the host anymore. In the settings everything looks alright, ssh daemon is running, and firewall ports are open.
Anything going wrong in this build?

OK, fixed. It was an issue with an old version of Putty.
In the logfile you will find something like:
auth.log:2016-05-07T12:58:09Z sshd[164893]: error: Hm, kex protocol error: type 30 seq 1
So the old version of Putty had the wrong settings for protocol. You can change it in the Putty SSH-KEX settings to change the algorithm order and put "Diffie-Hellman group exchange" at the bottom.
Or even better, download a newer version of Putty. It is fixed in newer versions
