How to run IOPS report

Well, forgive me here for posting what might seem to be so simple, but honestly I'm new to this foglight for virtualization and have to say it isn't very intuitive..

I am trying to run a pre-canned report from foglight for virtualization enterprise edition, not sure what version per se because I don't see anything on this interface that would even provide this info.

Steps I'm taking:

1) in left pane, I select reports

2) right pane, click run a report

3) at select template, I search for IOPS and then select the pre-canned iops report "FAQ Answer: Luns with Highest Average IOPs" and click next

4) Here is where I'm Stumped, Set Input Parameters..  I can set the time range, no bid deal,  but under this is shows "required" and Luns: is showing and its expecting a value... I click the radio button with the 3 dots (periods) and I am presented with the options: data  list  query  function  null

I have no idea what this is here or what to do... I would think "list" would be to select the list of luns I want to have included in the report, but when I click it I'm presented with the most confusing screen about list binding...

This is where I need some help here...

Luns, is this VMware datastores?   not sure... doesn't appear to be, but guess what, that's what they are.. a lun is provisioned to VMware it becomes a datastore..

I am apparently not doing anything right.. I have no training, not even sure it exists..

Goal - to get a report on the IOPs against VMware datastores..

can someone please assist.

Hi Kgottleib

Looks like that report is part of the Storage Environment dashboard. If you have the Storage cartridge enabled (and licensed), you might be able to find that information in the FAQs tab. (see picture below)

Just search for "Ops".

I hope this helps,

Gaston.
