How do I active the free McAfee LiveSafe 12 month subscription?

Hi, I have a new XPS that is supposed to come with a 12 month subscription of LiveSafe but McAfee LiveSafe says 30 days left of the free trial. How do I active the 12 month subscription?

This system came with McAfee 12 month subscription. However, it won't be pre-activated. You need to open the application and sign in with the Email address that you have used to make the purchase of the system. Once done, the activation process will be completed. When you activate McAfee using your email address, it automatically creates a McAfee account for you with your email address and the product activation details automatically gets attached to the account and should be available under the account. The activation details are not send separately.

@matt_tman  I would honestly get rid of it. I wouldn’t use it even if they paid me to. Third-party anti-virus these days seems to cause more problems than it avoids, especially given that Windows Defender is quite good these days. But if you really want to use that junk, hopefully somebody here can help.

I had the same issue. I found it by going into the dell app, essential software and the 30 day free McAfee trial, then from there to 'my account' set upo a password, and it was able to download from there.

I seem to remember setting up an account with McAfee and it updated the subscription.
