Vxrail with SRM

Hello,

I have a generic question about Vxrail.

We are about to setup Vxrail with SRM to DR site.

In this implementation do we need to setup 2 x vxrail managers, 1 to each site or 1 vxrail manager that will manage both sites ?

Will the setup treated as 2 standalone Vxrail clusters and then setup SRM to connect them ?

Hello Andreas213213,

What I had ment was that once you had run replication between production and DR SRM see both sites. Yes,you will have 2 clusters with 2 Vcenters. You can use either one that you are comfortable with.

Hello Andreas213213,

You can use 1 instance of VxRail manager to manage both sites. Now you can setup VxRail manager at both sites just in case one goes down.

Once you cluster your production site to your DR site they should be seen as one with SRM.

@DELL-Sam L Thank you for your response.

Please explain what do you mean "Once you cluster your production site to your DR site they should be seen as one with SRM." ?

They should be 2 clusters with 2 vcenters as my understanding, is that correct ?

Then we should use RecoverPoint or Vsphere replication along with SRM for the DR. (what do you recommend from this 2 RecoverPoint or Vsphere replication ? )

Storage will be VSAN.
