About me

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, and am a single father of three teenagers. At Dell I’m a member of our developer relations team and focus on open source, DevOps, developers and Linux. I am also the founder of Project Sputnik, a line of Ubuntu-powered developer laptops and workstations. Prior to Dell, I was at Sun Microsystems. I began my career in Sony’s workstation division in Tokyo where I worked entirely in Japanese. I’m not a developer but did survive using only Vi for 2 years.
