Switch Hanging/Freezing with MAC Move logging on a Stacked N1548 Switches

Hello,

I have been having a trouble for quite a while and the issue seems to be bugging me although I have implemented all solutions that has been provided on this community for similar problems.

I have three N1548 that are stacked using a 10G Stack Cables and they are connected to an uplink aggregate switch. The only log files that id dislaying in the log section is as below. I am no quite sure if this MAC move issue is growing into hanging or freezing the switch but the Switch sometimes turn out to become freezed upto stopping the internet connectivity of all the entities that are connected to it as well as being inaccessible with SSH. I have to physically got to the switch restart it forcefully or else it will stay hanging sometimes. I am not quite sure the MAC move log seemed to be the cause but I tried upgrading the firware version to get rid of this MAC moving log so it will in result get rid of the freezing ordeal assuming those two are related as causal and resultant of this inciden and also there is no other thing in the log file that seemed to be problematic other than this MAC move logs. DO you have any suggestion that will help me in resolving this issue since it is really troubling me and on top of that there are sensitive users that are connected to these switches which is driving me crazy whenever the switch gets hanging and these users lose connectivity?

Two more information worth mentioning here would be there a number of Ubiquity' UNIFI AP that are connected to these Switches otherthan a number of CCTV Cameras and monitors along with one Cisco x2960 downstream switch. Second thing i belive I should mention is the VLANs displayed in the log content below are VLANs that are configured on the UNIFI COntroller and providioned into the UNIFI APs connected with the Switches, the MAC moving seemed to be sourced on these ports. Anything in this set up that could be a potential cause for this?

Hi,

I'm not very good in networking, but I'll try to help out with some help with my colleague.

MAC move logging might not be related to switch freezing/hung state issues.

Do you happen to know the model PN# for the stacking cables?

Would you be able to collect the logs (run #show tech-support) from the master switch of N1548. Save it and Private message me when you have it on hand. I'll provide you my email to send the logs to.

This is a typical indicator of a switching loop in your network...

Look for redundant paths or endpoints looping the network.

I have Iooked into a possibility of STP Loops, I have tried to sanitize the cable connectivity as well as other Switch that is connected here. The Switch there at the downlink is a Cisco 2960 and I have put BPDU Filter on it so all STP Root issue would averted. The logs above seems to be coming from the Switchports that the Unifi AP are connected on. There are about four LANS configured on the UNIFI Controller to segregate Users connecting to the APs. Users with the listed MAC addresses connected through a specific VLAN seems to be jumping from once port to another as indicated with MAC MOVE Info. I would feel very comfortable if this MAC MOVE log is gone which I still feel is caused by some kind of troublesome issue the devices which I could not get a hold off with the Usual troubleshooting method.

Its not a loop, its because clients are roaming to different AP's.  It's slightly insane that this message even exists, at least Cisco will only alert if it detects the same MAC on 2 ports AT THE SAME TIME, but who really cares if the MAC moves to a different port?  It's like these switches were designed before access points existed.

The only fix I found is to increase the logging level to ignore notifications:

"logging buffered warnings"

The better fix would be to find a line of switches that doesn't flood the logger with frivolous messages.
