Latitude 5520, Waves MaxxAudio Pro, high CPU and memory usage

Lately, my machine has been having issues with the latest Waves MaxxAudio Pro service is using my CPU and taking up to 3-400MB of memory. It's not all the time, but it does happen if I visit YouTube with one of my browsers. I thought this was fixed a year or two ago? Anyone else noticing this? I'm going to disable the loading it up in Start Up again as it's impacting our entire organization with this laptop.

Yeah, you weren't the only one who thought so. I've researched this and noticed a lot of reports spanned across years. So it seems that Dell has been always struggling with making Waves MaxxAudio Pro service stable. This issue is a new one, seems unrelated to the previous issues with this driver. This issue also exists on Precision series with the latest versions of the drivers. So far I've found no solution.
