How to Disable Wireless when Connected via Wired Connection on Latitude and Precision Laptops

Instructions
Many system users want the ability to disable wireless networking when a wired network connection is available. Previously, this was completed as a function of the wireless driver.
Change the BIOS Setting
In the Dell Precision Mobile M4600/M6600 series and newer systems, this may be an option in the power management settings of the BIOS.
To enable/disable this feature:
- Press F2 during startup to enter the BIOS.
- Use the Arrow down key, or click the Power Management Field. Then right arrow to expand the tree and arrow down to or Click Wireless Radio Control.
- You can check or uncheck options for Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and for Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN). Exit and save the settings. (See Figure 1)

Note: Systems that are equipped with Intel 8260 WLAN cards need to install the WLAN Hotkey Driver (Windows 7). The WLAN RadioSwitch (Windows 8.1 / 10) or the Intel ProSet Admin Utility to provide Adapter Switching capability.
