Aurora R8, bios update, how many restarts?

Hi folks! I'm really excited to join the family. Seems like Dell has a killer discount with these Alienware Aurora R8s... Here is the following specs I got:

9th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 9700 (8-Core, 12MB Cache, up to 4.7GHz with Intel(R) Turbo Boost Technology)

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8GB GDDR6 (OC Ready)

1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD

16GB, 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz

Alienware 850 Watt Power Supply with High Performance Liquid Cooling

Killer™ AX1650 2x2 802.11ax Wi-Fi Wireless + Bluetooth 5.0

With the site discounts offered plus my 10% military discount, I was able to get the machine for:

$1550ish for the desktop

$350ish for the support

$2055 in total ($159 in taxes) + a $200 Visa gift card being sent to me later.

Not a bad price I suppose.  How did you get the 10% mil/vet discount?  I asked about that when I ordered my R7 but never got confirmation an actual military discount existed.  They did knock some money off my R7 where it was under $2k shipped with taxes, but nothing specifically on the invoice regarding a military discount being applied.

Very Useful and kindly do not include hyperx memory. Seems everything fine.

I just updated on 03/06/2021. It took about 5 minutes. Rebooted to bios 3 times and system died. From POST screen I selected F12, and did the diagnosis  and it said bad memory slot 1 and 3. I took those out rebooted, system ok. I then went to bios and went to advanced settings, turned on all the overclocking features to the 1st one. Saved it, shut down and reinstalled memory, rebooted, 64GB memory everything works fine. Did the full system check 100% ok!

Evidently when it upgrades the new bios it resets everything back to default which is why the memory didn't work.
