Vostro 3468 i5 7th Gen - upgrade to SSD
Hi , Could someone help on which type of SSD I can chose for my laptop hard drive update.
Vostro 3468 model - i5 7thGen . I plan to replace hard drive with SSD 500GB.

Memory and storage are two different things -- are you replacing the hard drive with an SSD (storage) or are you replacing memory (RAM) as well?
There are SSDs with onboard memory (RAM) as well, but that is handled by the drive - -not the system.

Any 2.5" SATA SSD will work; you may need a spacer to install it since the SSD will be slimmer than the hard drive you're replacing.

I planned to buy Crucial MX500 500GB 6.35 cm (2.5-inch) SSD , I have doubt about RAM type : they mentioned RAM type is DIMM. Is it not going to any issue ?
