XPS 8930, screen blanking issues after upgrade to Windows 11

I tried earlier this year to upgrade to Windows 11 and finally succeeded with Windows Upgrade Assistant.  But then every few seconds the screen would go black then come back a few seconds later.  Went back to Windows 10.  Upgraded again yesterday, same problem.  I tried different monitors, resolutions, drivers, DVI versus hdmi connections, physically removed GTX 1070 add on video card and used native port, updated BIOS, have run SFC scans clean, etc.  Issue never changes.

What I finally found by accident was that if I set the display to never turn off the problem goes away.  So now I turned on a screensaver with a timer to protect the screen.  Hibernation is turned off, etc.  So there is something related to power configuration that seems to be trying to sleep every few seconds.  This is no longer our primary system, sits in a rec room, would like the display to just go blank properly based upon timer.

Adapters seem fine under device manager although resource message \VEN_10DE&DEV_1B81&SUBSYS_33011028&REV_A1\4&282b9d62&0&0008 requires further installation.

Any thoughts?

You might still have (corrupted) remnants of NVidia driver(s) left over even when you physically remove the card. DDU may be best way to make sure it's completely gone.

Is there an option in Win 11 to disable the requirement to enter password when waking from sleep?

After upgrading to Windows 11, XPS 8930 users encounter screen blanking issues, potentially related to power configurations. A workaround involves setting the display to never turn off, but further investigation into power settings may be needed for a permanent solution.
