QDoes Dell's Recycling program include printers?
AYes. Dell has a comprehensive recycling program for printer hardware and printer ink and toner cartridges. In fact, Dell is undertaking an industry first-Dell will recycle your old printer for free when you purchase a new Dell printer.

QCan I use Dell Recycling to recycle printers from other manufacturers?
AYes! Dell accepts computer hardware from any manufacturer.

Learn about Dell Recycling
Review the description and FAQs
Read and understand the terms and conditions

Step 2:

Order Dell Recycling
Select which hardware you need recycled, and the quantity you need to recycle
Complete the online buying process

Step 3:

Prepare your system/Pack your hardware
Remove all personal data from your system
Review the packing instructions
Find a sturdy cardboard box(es) and pack the hardware - each box should weigh 50lbs. or less
Clearly mark box(es) with "DELL RECYCLING"

Step 4:

Place box in pickup location
Leave box(es) outside where they will be visible to the driver
Carrier will pick up the equipment 3 to 5 after you place your order.

QWhat types of ink and toner cartridges may be recycled?
ACurrently Dell can accept only Dell-branded ink and toner for recycling.

QWhat is Dell's Use and Return program?
AUse and Return, Dell's toner cartridge return program, is easy-to-use and avoids rebate hassles by providing a 23-27 percent on the purchase price of toner cartridges. When your cartridge is empty, return it to Dell in our postage-free packaging. We'll ensure that they empties are properly recycled and kept out of landfills.

QIs there a Use and Return program for ink cartridges?
ADell does not currently have a Use and Return program for ink cartridges. However, Dell encourages consumers to recycle their used ink cartridges through Dell's new printer supplies recycling program. Recycling is free and convenient. Simply use the postage-free packaging that arrives with your inkjet replacement cartridges to return your empty cartridges to Dell.

QWhat happens to my recycled toner cartridge?
AThe toner cartridges are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.

QWhat happens to my recycled ink cartridge?
AThe ink cartridges are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner. Typically ink cartridges are demanufactured and sorted by commodity type (such as plastic) and then either re-used to make new products or disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

ANo. The Regular and Use and Return cartridge both have the same limited warranty coverage.

QCan I purchase Regular cartridges then switch and buy Use and Return cartridges?
AYes. You can purchase either at any time.

QWhat if I don't return the Use and Return cartridge?
AWhy not? It's free and easy. And it's environmentally friendly.

QCan I refill a Use and Return cartridge so long as I eventually return it to Dell?
ANo. You purchased the Use and Return cartridge with the understanding the cartridge would be used once and returned for remanufacturing and/or recycling.

QWhy does Dell prohibit the Use and Return cartridge's reuse and request its return?
AAll Dell products are manufactured to high quality standards. Dell does not recommend reusing toner cartridges since we cannot determine the quality or performance of a reused cartridge. Dell offers a regularly priced cartridge with regular terms and conditions. With the Use and Return cartridge, Dell encourages the return of the empty cartridge to Dell for efficient recycling.

QWhat do I get for sending my empty cartridges back to Dell?
AYou received a discount up-front (over the regularly priced cartridge) in exchange for agreeing to comply with the Use and Return conditions. There is no charge for returning empty cartridges to Dell. Doing so helps protect our environment and helps realize better product value that can continue to be passed on to our customers.

AEmpty cartridges are recycled in an environmentally responsible manner.
