Custom Instructions for USB Mouse Patch for XPe.exe:
To download the patch, perform the following steps:
Click Download Now, to download the file.
The File Download window appears.
Click the Save button, and then click OK.
The Save In: window appears.
Click the down arrow, then click to select Desktop.
Click the Save button.
The file downloads to your desktop.
If the Download Complete window appears, click Close.
The file icon appears on your desktop when it has completed downloading.
After you have downloaded the update patch, perform the following steps to install it:
Locate the file on your desktop, which is named "USB Mouse Patch for XPe.exe".
Double click the icon.
User Account Control window appears. Click the Continue button.
The MediaDirect InstallShield Wizard window appears.
Click the Next button.
Install Dell MediaDirect 3.5 Patch License Agreement window appears.
Click Yes button.
Setup Complete appears. Click Finish button.
Shut down the system.
After the system is completely shut down, press the MD button to boot to MediaDirect Express.
Click 'Update' button --> MediaDirect Express will enter hibernate after patch complete.
The patch has been applied, the External USB mouse issue should be resolved.
