The BMC firmware update utility checks FRU numbers content to prevent the wrong firmware from being flashed on the system. The FRU number structure was updated starting with BMC firmware v1.09. Some customers may receive a 'checksum error' when updating the BMC firmware from an older version due to mismatched FRU number structure. The FRU number structure can be corrected by running this FRU update utility.
