Important Information

Problem:When a 2.8VDC processor in a PV530F SAN Appliance is replaced by a 5VDC processor, the system will error. Discussion: The PV530F SAN Appliance BIOS does not support the 5VDC Processor. Solution: Download the latest version of the PV530F BIOS and ESM from the file library at BIOS Versions A10 and above will support the 5VDC processor. BIOS version A10 requires ESM A51.

Installation instructions

Default Instructions for PV530F-BIOSA10.exe:

 Diskette Format
    1. Download the .exe file to a directory on your hard drive. The file 
downloaded is a self-extracting executable.
    2. Run the executable file by double-clicking on the icon.
    3. Click the Setup button.
    4. Follow the directions to create the FlashBIOS update diskette.
    5. Insert the created FlashBIOS update diskette into the target system.
    6. Reboot the system.
    7. When prompted, press "Y" to execute the FlashBIOS update.
    8. Remove the diskette and reboot system.
