Fixes & Enhancements
This is the service pack for Dell NX36x0 to upgrade FluidFS (previously called DSFS) to version 2.0.5110.
This service pack contains important fixes to the previous versions of FluidFS V2.0 and earlier code including:
a. File system cache handling improvements under heavy IO operations. b. Improvements in User identity management handling - LDAP netgroups, AD with LDAP traffic signing, one way trusted domain and NIS configuration updates, NIS group binding c. Improvements in handling AD name resolution in non-trivial network environments. d. VM migration improvements by returning physical size instead of logical size for the Linux command DU (which is used to estimate the file space usage and helps to summarize the disk usage of all customer files) e. Events and log improvement after upgrade, shutdown / reboot actions on the NAS appliance.
Note: The NX36x0 has an internal battery unit and upon initial deployment, the appliance LED status may show the system is not inan optimal status because the PBU (battery) is not adequately charged. Allow the battery to charge for a period of time to resolve the low battery warning. The appliance LED should change to optimal status and if the problem persists after few hours, contact Dell support for assistance.
Dell Technologies recommends applying this update during your next scheduled update cycle. The update contains changes to maintain overall system health. It ensures that the system software remains current and compatible with other system modules (firmware, BIOS, drivers, and software) and may include other new features.
