Dell PowerVault 128T Tape Library, v.1.62.D, A05

Firmware for the PowerVault 128T Library (fibre bridge, picker, and controller), LTO Tape Drive, and SDLT220 Tape Drive.

This new firmware package offers new library firmware to address library picker issues, and new SDLT drive firmware to address stuck tape issues.

* Added hourly picker brush maintence cycle when library is idle. This is to prevent build up of oxides on brush which could result in a picker power failure.
* Firmware will try to recover from transport assembly (picker) power failures.
* Java 1.4.1_01 or later runtime plug-in in required to view the RMC after firmware update is complete.
* Fixed ‘transport empty’ errors on moves
* Fixed “Failed to unload tape from drive" error when moving SDLT tapes.
* Fixed intermittent issue where FC devices could be displayed multiple times on the Discovery page.
* Fixed situation in which a large read (>256KB) or other long commands may cause a timeout or overlap condition.
* Fixed "Queue Full" error when ABTS was received for a command that was still active at the drive.
* New default configuration settings for Fibre Bridge:
Number of control LUNs: 0
Port Mode: N_Port

Hard Drive Installation (via WinZip) with HTML Pop-Up Window for

1.Click Download Now, to download the file.
2.At the Export Compliance Disclaimer window, click Yes, I Accept
this Agreement.
3.When the File Download window appears, click Save this program to
disk (Windows XP users, click Save) and click OK. The Save In: window
4.From the Save In: field, click the down arrow then click to
select Desktop and click Save. The file will download to your desktop.
5.If the Download Complete window appears, click Close. The file
name icon appears on your desktop.

1.Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R83113.EXE.
The Self-Extractor window appears.
2.Click OK or Continue.
The Self-Extracting Driver Installation window appears and prompts to
extract files to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R83113.
