Configuring Interface on Blade or FX Servers

  1. In the Server Component dialog box, under Network Setting , select Blade or FX2Server option from Fabric Configuration.
  2. To enable fabrics, select the corresponding check boxes next to Fabric A / onboard NIC, Fabric B / PCI e slot 1, and Fabric C / PCI e slot 2 . Fabric A, Fabric B and Fabric C are applicable for M1000E Chassis. Onboard NIC, PCIe slot 1, PCIe slot 2 are applicable for FX2 .
  3. Under Used for Fibre Channel, select the check boxes next to Fabric B / PCI e slot 1 and Fabric C / / PCI e slot 2 if you want to enable the fabrics for Fibre Channel traffic. To enable a fabric for Fibre Channel, you must ensure the setting to enable NIC partitioning is disabled. You cannot have both partitioning and use for Fibre Channel enabled
  4. From the NIC Type, select one of following NIC types:
    • Two port, 10 gigabit
    • Four port, 10 gigabit
  5. Under <Port number>, if you want to partition the port, select the Do you want to partition? check box.
  6. Perform the following steps for each port and partitions:
    1. In the Network (vLAN) column, select the network that you want to configure on the port and partition.

    2. Enter the Minimum Bandwidth and Maximum Bandwidth in percentage.

  7. Repeat the steps 4 through 6 for each port and partition.
  8. Click Add.
