Verwenden Sie diesen Parameter, um die Anzahl von physischen Festplatten in jedem Stripe anzugeben. Dieser Parameter gilt nur für virtuelle RAID-50-Festplatten. Wenn Sie keine virtuelle RAID-50-Festplatte erstellen, geben Sie diesen Parameter nicht an. Zum Beispiel:

Für RAID 10 auf SAS-Controllern mit der Firmware Version 6.1 und höher ist spanlength ein optionaler Parameter. Es ist auch möglich, spanlength als eine gerade Zahl mit maximal 8 Bereichen mit je 32 physischen Festplatten anzugeben. Zum Beispiel: 
omconfig storage controller action=createvdisk controller=1 raid=r10 size=min pdisk= 1:1:0,1:1:1,1:1:3,1:1:4,1:1:6,1:1:7,1:1:8,1:1:9
