Para desencadenar un apagado térmico cuando una sonda de temperatura detecte un suceso de falla, escriba: 
omconfig system thrmshutdown severity=failure
o 
omconfig servermodule thrmshutdown severity=failure
Para desactivar el apagado térmico de forma que un administrador tenga que iniciar un comando omconfig system shutdown, escriba: 
omconfig system thrmshutdown severity=disabled
o 
omconfig servermodule thrmshutdown severity=disabled
