Table 1. Back panel features and indicatorsItem 1 are the Power supply units (PSU1 and PSU2) that has AC redundant PSU up to two 495 W and AC non-redundant PSU of 350 W. Item 2 and 3 are the USB connectors that allows you to connect USB devices to the system. Four ports are USB 2.0-compliant and two ports are USB 3.0-compliant. Item 4 and 5 are the Ethernet connector (2) that has two integrated 10/100/1000 Mbps NIC connectors. Item 6 is the vFlash media card slot (optional) that allows you to insert a vFlash media card. Item 7 is the system identification button on the front and back panels that can be used to locate a particular system within a rack. When one of these buttons is pressed, the LCD panel on the front and the system status indicator on the back flashes until one of the buttons is pressed again. Press to toggle the system ID on and off. If the system stops responding during POST, press and hold the system ID button for more than five seconds to enter BIOS progress mode. To reset iDRAC (if not disabled in F2 iDRAC setup), press and hold for more than 15 seconds. Item 8 is the system identification connector that connects the optional system status indicator assembly through the optional cable management arm. Item 9 is the video connector that allows you to connect a VGA display to the system. Item 10 is the serial connector that allows you to connect a serial device to the system. Item 11 is the iDRAC port (optional), that is the dedicated management port. Item 12 are the full-height PCIe expansion card slots that allows you to connect up to four full-height PCI Express expansion cards.

Press the system identification button to turn the system ID on or off.
