Removing the battery

  1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer.
  2. Remove the base cover.
  3. To remove the battery:
    1. Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [1].
    2. Remove the screw that secures the battery to the computer [2].
    3. Lift the battery away from the computer [3].
