hello community, iam new here (please dont scold me )

i have a latitude 5590, quad core, P60F, with a Samsung SSD PM871b M.2 in it. i want a better disk, and to keep it cool, i chose the Intel SSD 9700p Pro M.2, which only has 1,13 Ampere and also offers hardware encryption (Opal). i bought it used for cheap.

following problems: the new disk is recognized for the M.2 socket, as SSD-0, but nothing more. in particular, in the BIOS isnt even the password-option displayed and the dell secure manager shows for the wipe-function an error messsage.

ive read a lotabout it, but i cant get any further and i dont understand everything. in particular, i dont understand why the Latitude 5590 only offers a SATA-Contoller (for AHCI and RAID), which theoretically doesnt affect the performance of the disk maximum, although the Intel SSD 9700p Pro belongs to the class 40 supported disks, of the Latitude 5590.

Can it also be, that there is a firmware problem for this intel-model? you see the firmware-code: L08P, but the firmware update of dell of this disk-modell begins with D.... crypttext...
