XPS 13 9360 QHD+ random screen flicker/flash

I got my brand new XPS 13 9360 a few days ago and I experience a very strange phenomenon : randomly, I get the whole screen flicker/flash to black very quickly once or a few times in a row. Then it doesn't flicker for a long time : it seems to happen 1 to 3 times in an evening for example.

Do you experience such a phenomenon ? I've tried tweaking the settings of the video driver but it didn't change anything. I'm not sure but the problem may have started when I upgraded the BIOS from 1.0.7 to 1.2.3 on the 14th of December.

Please help, I don't know if I should send it back or ask for a motherboard or screen swap.

my xps system flickers with and without the power being connected

June 9th, 2017 16:00

my xps is   april 2017, manufactured

the customer care is wasting so much time of mine trying to update software to resolve this issue ?

shouldn't dell withdraw this model and compensate the customer for supplying a product with manufacturing flaw ?

I have the same issue, Dell customer care replaced my first system ,

I am surprised the same problem persisted in the replaced system also ?

I have requested with dell customer care  to refund my money or exchange it with latitude series of my choice

The issue with screen flickering when hyper-v is installed seems to be fixed with the driver 15.45.18.4664 (21.20.16.4664) and above. The release note is also confirming that the bug has been fixed:

"KEY ISSUES FIXED:

Display may flicker while Hyper-V is enabled"

downloadmirror.intel.com/.../ReleaseNotes_GFX_154518.4664.pdf

2nd page.

@Dell, when will you update the driver?

I recently bought XPS 13 9360 with 16gb ram and 512 gb hard drive and having the same flicker issue when hyper-v is enabled.

@Dell  Could you please tell us when this issue will be fixed?

I have the exact same machine.

It is a driver combination, most likely a HW issue.  You have a long road ahead with Dell giving you adequate support.  I had the same exact problem and 40-50 hours of troubleshooting later I have other issues like random bluescreens and such.   The service techs are dead set on driver combinations, depending on which one you talk to they may never give up installing different combinations.  Wish I could be more help.

Absolute worst experience I've had with a computer purchase and is my last Dell product.

I solved the problem by disabling auto brightness with the firmware from Dell/Support/Drivers page. I can not find it now but if you search I am sure you will.
