Alienware Amplifier Problem

Hi everyone, I have a problem with the Alienware Amplifier on startup.

When I turn on the PC it stops immediately as if the power was removed and switched on again ( the hardisk makes a strange noise when the power is removed.), identifying the external gpu that works correctly.

Can you help me?

Hi pullecalo,

I *think* I understand your question/problem.  When the Graphics Amplifier is attached, the system will power on, detect that the Amplifier is connected, and then disable the onboard discrete GPU, and then restart again.  I have seen this take a couple cycles before the system finally powers up.  Your HDD making a noise, is what would be expected if power is removed abruptly.  IF the system starts to come up normally on the Amp and is working after a few seconds (I would say no more than 20 seconds), I wouldn't worry about it.  If it is not coming up at all, and you are under warranty, you should phone Dell/Alienware :-)
