Area-51 R2, all slots of RAM need to be the same size?
In the future, I am going to upgrade my Alienware Area 51 R2's RAM from 16GB to 32GB. Do they all need to be the same size or does it not matter?
I have heard that it does matter and it doesn't matter. Which is it? Any references would be great too!

They should be pairs.
So you can do 2x 4 gig and 2x 16 gig to get 24
or 2 X 8 gig and 2 x 16 gig to get 48
mixing speed and vendor and rank etc is not recommended
