If 6800k, then 6850k 6900k 6950x are your final choices

R2 owners still on Haswell / Hotwell can user higher 5xxx from the 1st list &/or move to 6xxx when using Bios A08 or newer (Hwell/Bwell share same socket 2011-v3 & X99 chipset) --> Give my regards to Broadwell

I don't know ... some of those CPU look pretty nice, especially if you can find a 100% functioning one for cheap.

Yeah, but MB, new CPU, new ram is gonna be pricey. Also, a lot of work and no guarantee the lights and cooling will still work.

I think my advice is the same as this:

https://www.dell.com/community/Alienware-Desktops/Area-51-R2-upgrades-Z390-9900K-2080-Ti/m-p/7256570/highlight/true#M9091

Mainly because it's all working 100% and Intel i7-6800k is still a nice chip.

replace the paste they put on the CPU with Graphite reusable pad and overclick to 4.3-4.4.  Works great! Dell, stop using paste!  graphite pads rock.  My 13R3 laptop until i dumped that you attempted to put on the CPU.  You charge all this money for your system you might as well spend 10 bucks for a good pad.

Good afternoon. And tell me, I have a question for you, If you say that this motherboard supports Haswell processors and represented by Core i7. So it must AND support xeon e5-1650v3, e5-1660v3. And after the BIOS update and e5-1650v4, 1660v4. Am I understanding this correctly? The architecture is the same for Zeon and i7.

Xeon is not supported. Requires a different socket.

I don't know if Xeon's work or if the micro-code is injected into the Bios update to make them work, I never looked into it > Google may help, or Area-51 R2, Intel CPU compatibility?

I guess they are the same sockets. I thought they were different.
