Aurora R10, liquid cooler part number
I bought the Alienware Aurora R10 from the Dell Outlet. It didn’t come with the cpu liquid cooler like I wanted. I want to buy it and install it but I don’t have a part number?. I saw some on eBay from the Aurora R7 but I don’t know if those fit? Any help would be appreciated.

Since you got it from the outlet, you can just click the chat box on the right of their outlet's website: https://www.dell.com/en-us/dfh/shop/dell-refurbished/cp/outlet

@Lilybeanz
@r72019 You can also consider an aftermarket AIO like the Corsair h60 OR h75
This would be the preferred option, in my opinion.

Just open up a chat box with Dell, they will give you a part number and a price. You can then buy it from them, or find it on eBay. When I asked them, they gave me MH0HN, $109 + tax. But I have the Intel version. The R10 is the AMD (Ryzen) version. R7 through 9 are interchangeable for the AIO. Don't know about R10. Based on the photos it looks like they still use the 75mm bracket mounting for the AIO, so I suspect the parts are interchangeable. Better to be safe than sorry and just chat them up. It will take less than 5 minutes. If the part is different for R7/8/9 than it is for R10, it would probably be hard to find on eBay since the R10 is so new.

Thanks but they won’t tell me without a service tag.

You get a service tag. I'm assuming Dell hasn't shipped his PC yet or it's still in transit

If you buy from outlet, do you get a service tag or not? I thought the service tag is semi permanently associated w motherboard.

Thank you.
Is this heat sink good for the VRM on the left side of cpu socket as well as the one on top? I assume the VRM heatsink mounting holes on all the motherboard are tapped?
Is this heatsink also good for XPS 8930?

* Not sure. Send Alienware-Joe a PM and link to this thread.

The parts page for J46J2 only shows Aurora R5/R6/R7/R8/R9/R10.

The hole spacing is different for the top VRM heatsink than it is for the left side VRM heatsink. The left side is spaced for a larger heatsink. Top for a smaller one. At least that's how it is on my board, so I would suspect that it is that way for the newer model R10 too. The photos of the service manual appear to confirm my suspicion. I've only see the top vrm heatsink included on the R10 Ryzen Edition 3950x models.

But if you're asking about the AIO cooler block, then yes you do need to put thermal paste (not pads) on the CPU prior to installation or it will get very HOT very fast.

For the VRM heatsink, you use thermal pads, not paste. Paste is not designed for vrm heatsinks, it will dry up because there are too many imperfections. But I thought the left side VRM heatsink comes installed stock on even the base model Aurora's starting with the R7.
