Aurora R12, adding 2TB SATA HDD
Hello Alienware Community!
I'm known the name Alienware for years but finally purchased an R12 last week. I have two questions
- I want to add a 2TB second SATA HDD for game storage. Any recommendations on which one to purchase? Dell has given me two different part numbers already.
- Will I need a SATA Data/Power for the install? I've already looked and there is a Data Connector but it's missing the power connector.

All cables are in the PC case. All you have to do is buy an SSD disk, for example I bought an SSD - Samsung 870 EVO 2 TB.

This is the 2TB SATA SSD that I added to my Area-51.
Your R12 should have SATA power connectors available. You will need a SATA data cable. Consider a SATA data cable with a 90 degree connector on one end.

any good name brand sata ssd would do. Dell oem ssd tends to be pricier and not worth it.
sata power connector is in psu cable. if you do not see it it must be tucked away hidden in case. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzy-0nzncCc
