Aurora R13, PCI-e bus warning

Hi,

Why am I getting this PCI-e bus warning and what can I do to resolve it? I need advice on what to do. What I did was I ran a thorough diagnostic test on the PCI-e bus and I see test result saying warning.

What made you run the test?

Hi Vanadiel,

I noticed my desktop will suddenly hang and won't respond to anything after running perfectly for like an hr plus. I ran the diagnostic test to see what the issue might be. The first error was the " PCie-training warning of device PCI tag-0100 vendorID-10DE device ID2206 SVid-10DE SDid-1467 Link Degraded, maxWidth = x16, negWidth = x2"

The second error came to play when i ran just the PCI-EBUS only. Does this have any thing to do with the ram or ssd too.

no, the link degradation is part of normal behavior. The link speed will drop during idle conditions of the video card, to conserve power.

It would only be a degradation if it stays at X2 instead of going to X16.

You can use GPU-Z to check the link speed during load and idle: link speed
