Aurora-R4, video card upgrade

Hi guys, I have an Alienware R4 Aurora, purchased in 2014, with the following features:

- CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4820K CPU @ 3.70GHz;

- RAM: 16 GB;

- HD1: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500GB ;

- HD2: 1 TB SATA;

- Video Card: AMD Radeon(TM) R9 270 2 GB;

- Monitor: Dell Ultrasharp U2412M (1920x1200).

I want to replace the video card with one more modern and fast, can you indicate me some model (possibly AMD) that I can install without problems?.

Thanks in advance Antonio

It's not gonna get a lot faster, but I suggest switching to Green-Team (like I did a year ago).

Then, it becomes Intel and Nvidia GPU ( with PhysX Co-Processor) for Windows Direct-X12 gaming.

A single nice MSI (or Zotac) GTX-1070-1080-Ti should act as one last upgrade to this old machine.

Works best with Dell/Alienware 875w Power-Supply.

Aurora-R4 should be running Windows-10 64bit.

Thanks Tesla you are awesome as usual.

I will follow your advice and I will take a GTX-1070-1080-Ti video card (switching so to Green-Team).

 I have Windows-10 64bit yet.

Good talking with you, see soon
