Aurora-R7, CPU pump failed, thread 2

Brand new bought 2/28/2018. Loaded it up and when i went to the alien command center under the thermal status the cpu pump showed up, then it said failure and then disappeared. Ive tried all the suggestions people have posted. At this point im just lost. Any help would be appreciated.

Right, CPU FAN is the Pump-Impeller ... notice how fast it is?

F12 to run ePSA Diagnostics
First page tests take about 5 minutes.
After it finishes Testing, it should say everything Passes.
It will ask about running Extended Tests that take 4 hours
- If you don't expect Memory failure, you can skip RAM Tests

Click arrow button (bottom right) to go to second screen (detailed Test Results)
Notice all the components that tested good

System Health/ Fans / CPU-FAN is actually the Asetek Liquid Cooler pump's RPM
- Pump Impeller RPM is constant/fixed and should be between 5280-5350 RPM

TOP-FAN (radiator-fan): around 1160 RPM / FRONT-FAN: 450 RPM (PCIe slots & cool-air intake fan)
HARD-DRIVE: 26c / CPU Thermistor: 35c-54c

Ive reported it. They tell me it's a software glitch with windows and will be fixed with a future update.. All the tests pass

If it fails from ePSA (and you are sure it's connected properly) it might be bad.

Time to call Dell and either get it fixed or return it.

This is not common. The Alienware (Asetek made) Liquid-Coolers are generally very good. Most sealed coolers sold today (like Corsair) are actually Aseteks also.

If it:

1. Passes ePSA (IIRC, it shows the Pump-RPM and Radiator-Fan Speed)

2. Can hold Intel-i7 Processor about 75c while gaming (or running OCCT, Prime95, etc.)

... My guess would be it's just an Alienware Command Center glitch.

What version of AW-CC are you running?

No, the Version number.

Remember, do not use the Upgrade feature inside AW-CC. Always do a "clean install" meaning ...

- Download the Installer and un-block the file in Windows Explorer.
- Uninstall old or existing version.
- Reboot
- Install new version
- Reboot
- Test operation.

Yeah, I'm not sure what VERSION you are talking about (the dates are just what someone typed in).

According to my research, it looks like version 4.8.20.0 is the one you want for an Aurora-R7.

Strange. Yeah, those temps are fine.

The pump-impeller speed should be fixed/constant. What it's RPM showing in ePSA?
