Aurora-R7, noises originating from where?

Hi all,

I received my Aurora R7 from Purolator this past Friday (May 4th) and have probably logged on 15-20 hours max on the system playing mainly FPS and Diablo 3.  When I put the machine on load, this weird sound comes out which I suspect is a PSU issue.  I'm assuming I got unlucky and the 850w PSU was build by Huntkey (48Y6D) and by supposedly the better manufacturer Delta (N1WJD).  Not only that, when I try to shutdown my computer, it won't shut down and the Alienware power button remains on (while the side case lights turn off).  I end up needing to hold the power button to shut down manually and when I re-start the rig again, I get an error message saying that the shut down process didn't execute properly?  I have contacted customer service and they have escalated me to determine if I am eligible for a brand new R7 replacement.  I'm worried that even if I do get brand new R7, the issue will still be there given the component defect? Can someone please help me? Attached are links to two YouTube videos that should give everyone an idea of the noise level.

1. Hard to tell from the outside, since you barely video-ed the "test switch" mount.

And no. For me, the bad fan bearings in the Huntkey sounded more like a rattling or Geiger Counter ... than a buzzing.

I suggest you open it and listen closer. What you are doing is like taking your car to the mechanic and never popping-the-hood.

To me, it sounds like one of the other fans or the HDD, etc.

2. You can check the Windows Reliability Report for what Process is preventing a clean shut-down, but if you are getting a new one, it doesn't matter.

3. Well, if you are getting a new computer, I would not worry to much now... this computer is going away.
