How to install latest Nvidia drivers for 1080ti for BFV?
Hey all,
I have a new Aurora R7 with a 1080ti and I was wondering...
Is there any way to install latest Nvidia drivers for the 1080ti? I just got Battlefield V tonight, but I'm getting this error due to how old the official Dell drivers are:
Error when launching BFV
These are the drivers I need, but can't install them due to the computer only taking official Dell drivers, but they're really old at this point: https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/140341
What are my options here?

1. Correct
2. Strange since it should work. What version of Windows-10 are you running?
You can also try:
- Uninstall all Nvidia drivers, GeForce Experience, all that.
- Reboot and let Windows-10 Update install a basic driver.
- Then, try installing v399.24

Ended up doing a clean uninstall with DDU & installed latest 417.1 driver without a problem after that! Thanks for the solution man!

This problem goes back, off and on, for a while now. It appears that Nvidia is at fault here since they failed to add subsystem information for the 1080 run in an amplifier. Try the following sites for more information and possible fix.

Yes, you can install Nvidia desktop drivers (from Nvidia.com) on Dell-OEM video cards. FYI, they seem to be very "Refernce Design" and compatible.
The clean-Install option should ensure all pieces of the old (Dell-validated) drivers are removed first.

Does this apply to Alienware Desktops as well? All those links are mentioning Alienware Laptops?

When you say 'Clean Install' option, you mean the one you get when you install the Nvidia driver? The problem is, I can't get to that point in the driver install. After the compatibility check I keep getting this error when I try to install the latest driver:
"This NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows."
I'll be trying JOcean's suggestion tonight. Any thoughts/ideas on alternatives Tesla?
