Aurora R10, where to buy the 1000W PSU?
I recently got a Aurora R10 3800X, 5700XT but only with a 550W PSU. I want to try a different GPU and I think i want more breathing space of the PSU. I have not found the part number, and even more important where to buy it?
Anyone has upgraded the PSU of an Aurora R10 either with dell or third party PSUs?

You can chat Dell sales to see if they will sell you a replacement psu for your model. You'd have to give them your service tag to verify part numbers, but I believe they are the two Delta or Huntkey options that have been around since forever (but now with the 1000W option):
0WTGN = 1000W, Delta Gold psu
0PDJK = 1000W, Huntkey Gold psu

There would be more things to buy if you get from dell.
Optical drive uses specific cable

Look at this power supply as example

Modular Cab:e sets
No Idea part numbers for cable sets.@DELL-Chris M might have more information.
Don't think they are the same between models.
Cable Set and C19 power cord.
Aurora 11, power supply cables
0WTGN 1000W, Delta, EPA, E-Star, Gold
0PDJK 1000W, Huntkey Electric, EPA, E-Star, Gold
Those came from the internal Dell parts page. Many of the components are not sold as a stand alone purchase. Call Dell Spare Parts
(USA 1-800-357-3355)
and ask for price and availability of the Dell 5 digit part number. No idea what cables are needed but they are not the same between 460W 850W 1000W

If you have a choice with the oem psu, Delta is considered higher quality than Huntkey. It's new with the 1000w option so not many third party retailers offer it on the secondary market.

Yea. The aurora takes a standard atx psu 150mm x 86mm x L mm. No proprietary connections. You just need to check the length on some larger watt psu's it doesn't give you much space for cable management. Evga g5 gold is also good, you just need a right angle sata power cable if you have the hdd storage drive option.

Also the SATA Slimline adapter if you have optical drive.

@r72019
The Dell (Delta) 1000 watt PSU is modular, correct?

@Anonymous
Thanks again. I went to my basement storage, and I reminded myself that I have a Evga 1200W Platinum unused from when I thought I was building a threadripper system. would this work? I have no knowledge of the different PSU sizes. Link below.

Many thanks. I have a likely naive question, if I use nondell psu, is the warranty voided?

You'd still have the warranty on the OEM parts. The warranty wouldn't cover the PSU, and it wouldn't cover any damage caused by using the non-Dell PSU or damage caused by the upgrade. Also, if you were to request warranty service, Dell would mot likely need you to return your machine to stock oem condition before servicing it.

@jdrodrig would this work?
Not very well, I don't think. My Seasonic is the same size as the link in my previous post;
140 mm (L) x 150 mm (W) x 86 mm (H)
The EVGA PSU in your link is;
200 mm (L) x 150 mm (W) x 85 mm (H)
The red box below estimates what a 200mm long PSU would look like in the Dell swing-out PSU contraption. You would be using up a lot of your cable management space. Aside from that, it would technically "fit". (click photo to embiggen)

Yes . . . I guess it would be difficult to work into that newly designed front shroud

@jdrodrig I order one like the one you suggested Seasonic but went for 850watt
That is what I have in the photo posted above.
Yes, those are the only cables I can think of the will need disconnected. Make a note of the cable routing, or better yet, take a few photos. As you may be able to tell, the Seasonic modular cables are a bit more 'beefy' than the OEM cables. Have zip ties handy.
