Is there a way to purchase the 8990 through Dell? I didnt see it listed in the upgrades section of the site.

We usually don't have video cards among the upgrades on our website. You usually need to contact sales for you to acquire it and they sometimes don't have the cards because the ones we have are in stock for warranty replacements in case we need them.
You can also try to acquire them online @ retailers.
