AlienFX for X51

I've owned this X51 for about 4 years now, and I had completely forgotten about the LED functionality (since I turned it off and never really used it). So, I decided to start tinkering with it again, but I noticed that the color morph effect isn't present in the Command Center like on other models I've seen. Is there any particular reason for that? The best response I've found so far is that it won't be possible unless there's another version of the Command Center released. It just seems odd to strip away the best function of something these computers are widely known for (the first thing people do when I tell them I have an Alienware is that they want to see the cool lights). If anybody could offer me some insight on this, that would be fantastic.
