AlienWare M15x Revision & recommended upgrades?
Hi all,
Wondering how do you find out the revision of your M15x? I was looking at the invoice and there is nothing stated there =(
Does the part code help? S511102wMY
Also, I was thinking of upgrading my RAM for my M15x. What is recommended and supported by my model? Current RAM in use:
4GB Dual Channel 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (2x2GB)
After the RAM upgrade, will be saving up for a new GPU and CPU, as per this wonderful post!

HP 4GB 1333MHz DDR 3 Memory Elitebook (<- im guessing this wont work with my M15x?)

Still no feedback on the RAM or how to check the revision of the M15x?
Or is the M15x still at R1?

Hey mate,
I noticed that no one has replied to your thread :P
I would probably double check with Dell/AW support before purchasing (to avoid voiding your warranty), but the Mhz make all the difference I am lead to believe.
