Alienware 13 fan issue

I've had my Alienware 13 for about a month now, and I love it but there's a slight problem, when I play video games, which is not often, the right fan is not working, ever, and then it gets crazy hot. Is the right fan just for decoration, or can I activate it some how?

Hi,

Try running a video card stress test to check the temperatures. Follow the steps below to do this.

  • Open Support Assist
  • Click on the Checkup option
  • Click run custom scan
  • Click on the NVidia card
  • Select the Stress Test option

During the test, it will display the temperatures for the GPU, make a note of how high it gets to.

it is normal because the right fan is for the nvidia card, that means that your cpu is hot and need to put the left fan at high speeds and your gpu is on really low temperatures and dont need to put his fan on max speed like the other. each fan speed is independent.
